TRFS Service & Pricing Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy applies to Tax-Ready Financial Statement (TRFS) services provided by CrossBorderstax LLC. It supplements the pre-assessment, the service scope and price confirmed before payment, any written proposal or invoice, and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Purpose of TRFS

TRFS is a financial-statement preparation and reconciliation service designed to organize a client’s current-year financial information for U.S. business tax-filing support. TRFS is not a tax return and does not include Form 1120, Form 5472, state tax returns, tax payment, legal advice, assurance, audit, review, or attestation services unless expressly stated in writing.

2. Scope-Based Pricing

TRFS pricing is based on the business profile and workload information supplied by the client, including business type, annual transaction volume, sales channels, business bank accounts, payment processors, inventory activity, reconciliation requirements, and other relevant complexity factors.

The pre-assessment and pricing engine use the client’s answers to recommend a TRFS service and price. The recommendation is based on the information provided and does not guarantee that materially different or undisclosed work is included. The applicable scope and fee are confirmed before payment.

CrossBorderstax may require a manual scope review when the business involves significant inventory or cost reconstruction, multi-channel settlement reconciliation, manufacturing or work-in-process costing, deferred revenue, multi-currency activity, incomplete opening balances, historical cleanup, multiple entities or years, unusually high volume, or other circumstances requiring professional judgment.

If the actual records or workload differ materially from the information provided, we may pause the service and issue a revised scope, completion schedule, and price. No additional charges will be made without the client’s prior approval.

3. Included Services

The service scope confirmed before payment, whether through the pricing engine or a written proposal, determines the services included. Depending on the agreed scope, TRFS may include:

• collection and organization of current-year financial records;
• transaction classification and reconciliation;
• reconciliation of the confirmed bank accounts and payment processors;
• sales-channel settlement reconciliation within the confirmed scope;
• preparation of current-year tax-ready financial statements; and
• CPA review support for preparation of the financial statements for tax-filing purposes.

The number of accounts, platforms, channels, transactions, and other workload assumptions included in the price are those stated in the plan, assessment, or written scope confirmation.

4. Excluded and Separately Scoped Services

Unless expressly included in writing, TRFS does not include:

• federal, state, local, or international tax-return preparation or filing;
• prior-year bookkeeping, catch-up work, or historical reconstruction;
• additional entities or additional reporting years;
• payroll processing or payroll tax filings;
• sales-tax registrations or returns;
• accounts-payable or accounts-receivable management;
• inventory counts, valuation studies, or complex COGS reconstruction;
• audit, assurance, review, compilation, valuation, legal, or tax-opinion services; or
• correction of inaccurate third-party platform data.

Out-of-scope services are separately assessed and quoted.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client must provide complete, accurate, and readable records; disclose all relevant bank accounts, payment processors, sales channels, inventory activity, related-party activity, loans, capital contributions, and material transactions; respond to questions within a reasonable time; and review requested confirmations.

The client remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information supplied. Client delays, missing records, inaccessible platforms, or inconsistent data may delay completion and may require a revised scope.

Business bank accounts and payment processors should not both be reported as zero unless the entity is newly formed or the client provides a reasonable explanation. CrossBorderstax may decline or pause service where the financial activity cannot be reasonably substantiated.

6. Timing and Completion

Estimated timelines begin only after payment, completion of the required intake, and receipt of the records necessary to start work. Completion dates may change when records are incomplete, corrected, or submitted late; the scope changes; third-party information is unavailable; or client responses are delayed.

Substantive TRFS work begins when CrossBorderstax starts reviewing or processing submitted records, classifying or reconciling transactions, performing cleanup, preparing financial statements, or conducting professional review. Uploading records alone does not start substantive work.

7. Service Period and New Assessments

Under the pre-assessment pricing-engine workflow, each TRFS purchase covers only the entity, reporting period, deliverables, and workload assumptions confirmed before payment. It does not automatically renew or include a later reporting period. Additional or future-period TRFS services require a new pre-assessment or written scope confirmation and a separate purchase.

If the company’s activity, records, accounts, platforms, or transaction volume change for a later period, the service scope and price will be assessed again. A previously quoted price does not guarantee the same price or scope for a new engagement.

8. Refunds and Billing Corrections

Refund eligibility, cancellation treatment, and duplicate-charge corrections are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. A cancellation request received before substantive TRFS work begins is eligible for a full refund. After work begins, fees for work performed and documented, non-recoverable third-party costs may be retained; any remaining unperformed portion is assessed under that policy and applicable law. Client delay or incomplete records may affect the schedule but do not alone determine refund eligibility.

9. Professional Judgment and Finalization

CrossBorderstax may request clarification or supporting documentation and may decline to finalize financial statements when the available information is incomplete, inconsistent, or not reasonably supportable. Any tax-filing service is subject to its own engagement scope and professional review.
